Subject:- Sub-group to study the problems arising on account of valuation of goods manufactured on job work basis regarding

The Central Board of Excise & Custom has constituted a Sub Group to study the problems arising on account of valuation of goods manufactured on job work basis. The Sub Group consists of the following officers:

1. Sh. T.R.Rustagi, DG, DGICCE, Chairman
2. Sh. Rajendra Prakash, Commissioner of Central Excise, New Delhi, Member
3. Shri A.P.Verma, Commissioner of Central Excise, Bhopal, Member
4. Shri R.Sekar, Director, CBEC, as Member Secretary.

The trade associations, manufacturers and all others, including advocates, consultants and departmental officers are requested to kindly send their views and suggestions on the problems relating to the valuation of excisable goods manufactured on job work basis. They may furnish details of any specific problem that has come to their notice and also suggest as to how this problem can be taken care of. In particular views and suggestions are invited on the ingredients that need to be taken into account for computing assessable value on goods manufactured on job work basis.
