All concerned are hereby informed that for the proper accountal of the revenue deposited by the assessees, it is imperative that the tax payers should deposit their taxes through TR-6 Challans in proper format with correct account heads that are presently in operation. Tax payers should also ensure that they quote the correct Assessee Code Number & Location Codes of Commissionerate /Divisions/Ranges in the TR-6 Challans when making payments of Central Excise Duties in the nominated banks. Copy of TR-6 Challan in proper format , list of account heads for various categories of Central Excise Duties and the location codes of Commissionerate /Divisions/Ranges are enclosed as annexure ‘A’ ., ‘B’ , ‘C’ respectively to this trade notice. All the Trade and Industrial Associations are requested to give wide publicity to this trade notice amongst their member constituents.
