TRADE NOTICE No. 11/2007 dated 30.07.20007
Subject: Filing of declaration in terms of Notification NO.36/2001-Central Excise (N. T.) dated 26.6.2001
 
Attention of the trade and industry is invited to Notification NO.36/2001-Central Excise (N. T.) dated 26.6.2001 which exempts from the operation of rule 9 of Central Excise (No.2) Rules, 2001 (Now Central Excise Rules, 2002) under the Notification ibid. However, such of those manufacturers availing value-based exemption under SSI exemption are required to file a declaration in the prescribed format with the jurisdiction Central Excise Assistant/Deputy Commissioner in respect of whom turnover had exceeded Rs 90 lakhs during the previous year. Accordingly, it is impressed upon all the manufacturers to file the said declaration immediately whose turnover had exceeded Rs. 90 lakhs during the previous year i.e. 2006-07.
All Trade Associations are requested to give wide publicity to the contents of this Trade Notice amongst their members/ constituents.
